Queen Victoria (QV)![]() MS Queen Victoria (QV) is a cruise ship in the Cunard Line fleet, named after Queen Victoria.The Queen Victoria is a large resort ship. Almost anything you can think of can be found on board this luxuriously equipped cruise ship. The ship has a crew of 1,003, which with a passenger occupancy of 2,000 means there is almost one crew member to every passenger. Passengers on board the ship will be hard placed to know what to do first. For those interested in furthering skills or knowledge whilst on board, there are a wide range of classes to choose from through the Connexions programmes. These include art, dance and wine tasting. Those more interested in relaxation can spend time soaking up the sun and reading by one of the swimming pools, before taking a relaxing dip. Alternatively they could pay a trip to the Royal Spa where several treatments are on offer as well as a hydrotherapy pool. For those who like something more active there are a wide range of sporting activities on offer. These include golf nets, tennis courts and a well equipped gym as well as traditional shipboard sports such as deck quoits and shuffleboard. For those who prefer a little retail therapy then there is a shopping arcade with a range of boutiques to choose from. The only problem with eating on board the Queen Victoria is what to choose. There are a variety of different restaurants on board offering a huge choice of cuisine. However one meal that shouldn't be missed is afternoon tea. This is served daily in the Queen`s room and features fresh scones and cream.
There are 1007 cabins on board and they fit the general luxurious feel of the ship. The Queen Victoria has been fitted out with an eye to elegance and luxury. This is probably most in evidence in the spectacular three tier grand lobby. This has a sweeping staircase running through it and is also renowned for its artwork. Everyone is welcome on board the Queen Victoria ship. Families are well catered for with a range of specialised kids clubs offering a wide variety of activities including treasure hunts and craft activities. Couples will find plenty to occupy them whether they are looking for a romantic break or simply a chance to see a lot of interesting countries. Last but not least single people are welcome. With so many activities on offer there are plenty of opportunities to meet new friends. |
