P&O Cruises welcomes Adonia to the fleet on 20th May 2011![]() Introducing Adonia, P&O Cruises newest addition to the fleet. Designed to offer a delightful, intimate cruising experience, Adonia is our smallest, and one of our most versatile ships.MS Adonia's more petite scale means she can explore ports the larger ships of today are unable to visit - and with 75% of her cabins featuring a balcony, the views are second to none. MS Adonia is an R class cruise ship owned and operated by P&O Cruises. She was built in 2001 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, St. Nazaire, France for Renaissance Cruises as MS R Eight. Between 2003 and 2007 she sailed for Swan Hellenic as MS Minerva II, before being transferred to Princess Cruises. Her passengers will explore hidden gems along the Mediterranean coast, such as Alghero in Sardinia and Zadar in Croatia, visit the awe-inspiring fjords of Norway and, a little closer to home, Adonia will tour the beautiful coastline of Britain and Ireland, taking in Dublin, Liverpool and Jersey.
